CONNECTICUT BASIC BOATING COURSE

The State of Connecticut requires all residents that wish to operate power vessels, personal watercraft and larger non-powered vessels to obtain a certificate to operate. Our class makes it easy to pass the state exam and obtain your certificate. Many courses allow this to happen in 1 DAY. Walk into class in the morning and leave that afternoon with your certificate in-hand. Go boating immediately. We know there are choices available. But nobody can give you the level of expertise and service that we deliver.. Courses taught through our proud relationship with the Sea Safe Boating Education Group.
NRA Basic Pistol Course
This is the course required to obtain your permit to carry a handgun. There is classroon education and
live-fire experience at the range. We offer a variety of handgun styles and sizes for you to try. Our course is also accepted by several other states for issuance of their concealed cary permits. The Florida permit is accepted in over 35 states. We offer some 'Ladies Only' courses taught by a female instructor. These classes are very popular and fill fast.
We also offer the NRA ' Self Protection in the Home' and 'First Shots' Courses. For the experienced shooter consider our tactical shooting course.
Female NRA Instructor Jo-Anne McKeon brings 20+ years of experience and a female perspective to our courses.
CPR / AED & First-Aid Courses
We are a premier training center for the 'Emergency Care & Safety Institute'. Our courses are taught by Registered Nurses, Paramedics and EMT's. You never know when this knowledge will be needed. Be prepared to handle emergencies at home, work or anyplace.
We offer re-certification courses regularly.
COASTAL NAVIGATION COURSES
Protect your boat and your crew. We teach you to navigate with confidence. Some topics covered are time,distance , speed calculations, dead reckoning, charting, plotting, use of electronics (GPS, Depth Sounder, Radar and VHF Radios) and more. Courses are taught in a 1-day or 2 evening format. Students bring a pencil (not pen), and a battery operated calculator and we supply the rest.
